A collection of educational (and fun!) games built for a 6-year-old Kindergartner.
In January 2026, Arin was home from school on a snow day. I (his dad) wanted to keep up the momentum from school (which he loves), so I asked him, "What's 9 + 6?" His response? He didn't want to 'math.' Fair enough — not very engaging.
Inspired by 90s classics like Math Blasters, I wondered — could I turn the worksheets coming home into actual games? Something fun that still reinforced what he was learning? I fired up Claude Code, got Arin's input, and the first game came together. He had a blast.
That kicked off a streak of building more games around what Arin was picking up at school — math, sight words, spelling, patterns, and even Japanese. Along the way, his favorite things snuck in: orcas, axolotls, robots, and outer space.
Every game here was built by a dad + AI, tweaked by his son. Hope it inspires!
No frameworks. No build step. Each game is a single HTML file with vanilla JavaScript and CSS.
Every game was built entirely with Claude Code and hosted on GitHub Pages.
